5 Years and Canada Day

This time, 5 years ago, I was starting my first day of work in Barnwood, Gloucestershire, England. It was only my third or fourth day in a whole new (old) world and it was the beginning of a new chapter in my life.

I had never been to europe and that had all changed.

It's interesting to look back now on how things have evolved in the past 5 years. From celebrating Canada Day on my 3 year annivesary in London to chilling out with friends and having a BBQ at the house here in Switzerland, it's been a wild ride so far.

Had you asked me 5 years ago where I thought I'd end up or what I was doing ... today was definately not where I had pictured myself.

Tonight I will continue to do what I have done for the past five years.

I will keep challenging myself with "new things" to do. I've taken up golfing. I'm absolutely crap and will be acquiring the services of a professional trainer to bestow some nice habits upon thee. This is like skiing. I don't like it but it's something different and I will keep pushing myself to take advantage of my surroundings and opportunities while I'm here.

Who knows, maybe in 5 yrs i'll be in a completely different place...

Happy Canada Day, eh.

Golfing is fun as long as you don't take it 'too' serious ;)
Been golfing for years and as soon as it stops being fun... I usually leave the course. ;)
